Greetings!
Welcome to my personal microsite. I'm passionate about exploring new ideas and turning them into real projects. That's the reason I built this website, to showcase some of my skills and interests. I hope you enjoy my work and gain a better understanding of me as a person.
About me
My name is Leo Orlovsky.
I was born on the 10th of June, 2009, in Kyiv, where I lived until 2020. On the 31st of August, 2020, I moved to Switzerland, to the city of Zug.
I speak four languages fluently: Russian, Ukrainian, German, and English, I can also communicate in Swiss German. Although I don't speak it fluently yet, I'm currently learning French.
My life
I currently attend the Schulisches Brückenangebot (SBA) in Zug. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym with my friends, spending time together, and coding or learning something new.
I live in a family of four. My father, Dr. M.D. Ph.D Maxim Orlovsky, is a medical doctor and a scientist.
My mother, Dr. M.D. Ph.D Iasia Orlovska, is also a doctor, and my sister, Louisa Orlovska, is 20 years old and studying design.
My reasons
Why did I choose application development?
I have been fascinated by computers and computer science since childhood. Thanks to my father, who showed me the IT sphere, I came into contact with programming early and began experimenting at the age of seven. Since then,
I have regularly pursued new ideas with great enthusiasm. Several internships have confirmed my career goal and shown me that I am especially passionate about application development. The blend of planning, implementation, and creativity excites me, which is why I am applying for an apprenticeship as a computer scientist EFZ in application development for summer 2026.
How was this website created?
This microsite was built by Leo Orlovsky, Maksym Chubatyuk, and Max Münch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We collaborated in Visual Studio Code with the Live Share and Live Server extensions to work together in real time. Leo designed the site, created the base, and handled the main programming. Max wrote the content based on Leo's drafts, solved some link-handling and appearance issues, and suggested some ideas.
Maksym contributed by debugging and bringing in fresh ideas to improve the project. The result is a simple, clean, and responsive site with smooth animations and a design inspired by Apple's new "Liquid Glass" design language.
